MistyWest and Nordic Semiconductor are pleased to present the second Misties Awards for the Top 20 Individual Leaders in Intelligent and Connected Devices, honouring contemporary inventors, hackers, engineers, product designers, and business leaders who have successfully commercialized products that are making an impact on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Join us for the virtual awards ceremony, hosted by Leigh Christie, that includes an online panel discussion on Exploring AI at the Edge: Increasingly Intelligent Devices that will to delve into the transformative potential of AI deployment on edge devices across various industries, and the challenges that lie ahead.
We thank our 2023 prize partners Nordic Semiconductor, Thistle Technologies and Duro Labs, who are offering up to $15K in cash and in-kind prizes for the Top 20 winners.

Cofounder of Sanctuary AI
Geordie Rose co-founded Sanctuary in 2018 with the mission of building the world’s first human-level AI in general-purpose robots. Prior to Sanctuary, Geordie founded D-Wave, the world’s first quantum computing company, and was the CEO of Kindred, the world’s first robotics company to use reinforcement learning in a production environment.
Niluthpol Chowdhury Mithun
Computer Vision Researcher at SRI International
Niluthpol focuses on utilizing computer vision and machine learning techniques to tackle real-world challenges. Currently, he is an Advanced Computer Scientist at the Center for Vision Technologies (CVT), SRI International. At CVT, Niluthpol engages in both early-stage research and developmental projects aimed at creating prototype solutions with significant impact on various sectors such as government, commercial markets, defense, and automotive industries. The success of CVT’s technology has led to the establishment of several spin-off companies.
Scott Hensley
VP of Sales, Americas at Nordic Semiconductor
Scott Hensley is a results driven sales executive who has worked in the semiconductor industry for 35 years. He possesses a wide range of product knowledge in the MCU/MPU space as well as wireless technologies like BLE, Wi-Fi and Cellular. In addition, Scott has experience with capacitive touch sensing and security products such as Crypto authentication, Crypto Memory and TPM.
