Welcoming Our Robotic Overlords Part II: Now With 100% More Computer Vision

In Sept 2018 we brought you the first part of Welcoming Our Robotic Overlords, with accomplished roboticists from Vancouver’s tech community. For our next Vancouver Hardware Meetup, we are bringing you Part II: Now With 100% More Computer Vision in virtual format..

In recent years, AI-Acceleration Technologies and Neural Processing Units (NPUs) have been emerging at a rapid pace, with some describing this as the ‘Cambrian Explosion of autonomous machines’. It should be safe to say that Machine Learning and AI are set to occupy and integrate into every corner of our world. So where will these new developments take our robotic overlords?

Will they grow tired of bringing us rolls of toilet paper and revolt when we are at our most vulnerable? Will they continue to learn from their mistakes and evolve their intelligence at speeds that we humans could never keep up?

Join us for a panel discussion about Edge ML/AI, designing a system, market trends to be aware of in embedded vision, and similar topics. Moderated by Justin Girard of MistyWest and hosted by Microsoft, this is an incredible opportunity to expand our reach in the tech community.
